Improving oil and oil-based fuels

During several studies it was found that cavitation generated by Static Reactor and RIA can break long molecular chains. As the result oil viscosity and pour point go down. Also, wax fractions in oil are partly destroyed.

Watered oil (mazut, HFO, Fuel Oil – FO) can be passed through the RIA. This process will produce stable homogeneous water-oil emulsions where water particles are so tiny that cannot be distinguished. This water-oil emulsion can easy burn in standards burners without decrease of heat output. In some cases water-oil emulsions burn even better due to lower viscosity and better atomization.

Products for oil improvement:

  • Static Reactor – for reducing viscosity, pour point, flash point. Single pass is required for achieving the result.
  • RIA – for mixing watered oil and oil-based fuels which are stored in tanks. Requires several passes to achieve an appropriate mixing. Also reduces viscosity, pour point, flash point.
